I work in an Outpatient Physical Therapy clinic that utilizes Anodyne for the treatment of Neuropathy signs and symptoms. I see the benefits of the Anodyne itself but feel its true benefits are being misrepresented to the patients. Anodyne gives ONLY TEMPORARY Relief. The pain and numbness will come back,sometimes worse, within 2-4 weeks of stopping the treatments. The Therapist acknowledges that it is temporary, but keeps the patient in PT for years as an active patient draining the patients PT benefits. A suitable and appropriate thing would be to set up a home exercise program and give the patient the option of purchasing an inexpensive home anodyne unit. This is not allowed because it will take money out of his pocket. I feel this is unethical and possibly unlawful, what is your opinion?
