I noticed soup and my frozen dinners, Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice, etc. have sugar listed. If sugar is listed farther down the list is this food item allowed? I am having a hard time knowing for sure what to eat and what not. What about cereals? Which are ok to eat?
Thank you

I enjoy oatmeal and also eat plain shredded wheat. No sugar in either one. I add a "small" amount of splenda for taste. Posted: 2/21/2010
There are a few cereals made without flour or sugar. Ezekiel cereal and Swiss Muesli are two I have found and enjoy. Hard to find, but worth the search. I avoid those foods with sugar on the label anywhere, but am not a fanatic about it. Also, if you don't know what an ingredient is, probably best to avoid that food. I stopped checking frozen meal packages long ago. They almost all have flour or sugar in them. The only frozen stuff I buy now is frozen vegetables, and I mean just the vegetables; no sauce or butter, etc. on them. Good luck!
