82 year old lady - always up and going - being treated with Xeloda for breast cancer. One of many drugs over years which she has accepted well. Now her Dr. has added iron supplement and she is having severe intestinal cramps and constipation. Evacuationg only by adding a laxative which turns into diarrhea - and thus told to use Immodium for diarrhea. Is there any remedy to decrease the intestinal cramping and vicious cycle from the ingested iron supplements?
