Last spring I was weeding my roses and was pricked a couple of times, which is not unusual at all, now is it? But something started hurting EXTREMELY bad within the joint on my finger which had gotten pricked two weeks before. Within a day after the pain started the finger itself looked as if it would explode,,, morphine couldn't touch this pain!!!!! I was hospitalized for days under very heavy sedation and powerful antifungal medication. I was wondering how common this is and how long does the effect of tenderness and swelling in that finger last?
