My husband was diagnosed this week with this disease, at present he seems fine on 15mgs of prednisone. But I want him off it as soon as possible. What chance of finding something more natural and less harmful to help him get over this horrible disease. He is 77.

I have had poly rheumatica for may years now and am only 40 years old! My doctor has me on a pain med called Ultram and really helps. It is a non habit forming and non narcotic pain med. After my swelling goes down them the prednisone is not needed all the time. Exercise in small doses really helps as well, like pilates or swimming. Good Luck!
