Read in one of your articles in the paper you might do a feature on vinegar. Just wanted to relate my experience.
I have suffered from chronic urticaria for the past 20 years. (I'm 54) Have been to allergist and several other doctors looking for a cause. Like many with CU have never found a cause.
For many years I have been treating it with Tagamet and Zyrtec. Usually better in the summer and worse in the winter when air is dry. When winter started 2009 the hives got really bad. Taking more Tagamet and Zyrtec was not controlling them. While looking on the internet for possibly solutions others have found I came across earthclinic.com. Read where Apple Cider Vinegar might work for hives. Thought what did I have to loose. Started taking 2 tbl spoons ACV with some baking soda to neutralize the acid three times a day. Within 2 days hives where gone and I was able to cut way back on the meds. I can even skip taking the meds some days. I also could not wear warm clothes but can now without getting the itchy feelings I normally experienced. There is one other side affect benefit I believe has occurred. I often would have small migraines with pressure fronts from weather changes. Since taking ACV have not had one for 3 months...
